Y’all got it, we tired...we gone is a mixed-media work anchored by a 2017 photograph (Y'all got it, we tired) suspended above a vibrant orange expanse. The artwork serves as a prophetic testament to the sociopolitical landscape of 2026, a period marked by the strategic pushout of Black women from the workforce, driven by white male narcissism and systemic economic exploitation. However, the piece powerfully subverts this narrative of marginalization, reframing this departure as a radical act of agency: Black women consciously choosing to divest from systems of overt white narcissism in order to protect and prioritize their individual and collective well-being.
