The experience of Blackness through the expression of Black people. Multifaceted, multidimensional, multimodal. A shared and common bond, while maintaining a broad diversity of spirit, location and culture. The indelible link of Blackness forced upon us only to create a dehumanizing other in relation to “whiteness”. Both being historically recent social constructions made up to justify the oppression and exploitation of the dark-skinned peoples of the world...the global majority of humanity. Artists in this exhibition come from Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Madagascar, and Reno, not only displaying diversity in practice, but also in location and culture. A living example of the beauty of the diaspora.
