INTRO TO BLACK ART COLLECTING

In this workshop participants will be introduced to the universe of art collecting from the Black perspective. Topics to be discussed include:

• Brief historical overview of Black art in the United States

• What it means to collect from a number of perspectives (passion, support, investment, etc.)

• What to look for & getting to know artists

• Building a collection over time
