Artist Bio

Iandry randriamandroso is a community artist, muralist, graphic artist, and an educator. He is a

drawing instructor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

He specializes in visual and mixed media art-making that focuses on environmental and social

subjects. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from St. John’s University and a Master of Art in

Community Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art.

His goal is to create art that is inclusive and accessible to everyone. He uses his artworks as

educational tools to facilitate inclusive and hands-on presentations, community arts workshops, art

classes, and mural projects in public and private venues. He exhibited his work in galleries and

museums in the US and overseas. His recent Solo exhibition was “Ny Vorontsika – Our Birds”, FlowGallery, Antananarivo, Madagascar and his recent Group exhibition was “Healing Waters: Restoring

Our Relationship with Utah Lake”, The Utah Valley University Museum, Orem, Utah.

One of his notable projects is B’more Birds, a mural project where he collaborated with community

members and a scientist to create 11 bird murals in Baltimore and promotional/educational

materials including posters, coloring books, a DIY zine and limited editions of linoleum cut prints.

The project was multi-layered that combined art, community, nature, science and education. He is a

recipient of the 2023 Mayor’s Urban Design Award Public Art for his mural We, Westside

commissioned by the City of Las Vegas Government.
