GLIMPSES

CHASE R. MCCURDY
MARCH 21 - MAY 1, 2025

A peek into the practice of Artist Chase R. McCurdy. Not the entirety of the work, but an invitation to moments of expression between the years of 2017 - 2022. McCurdy engages in an ongoing expressive practice that manifests itself primarily in the visual arts of painting/drawing and photography, but also includes deep explorations into the written word, sculpture, filmmaking and “universe creation.”

GLIMPSES marks the Artists’ first individual presentation of works since Neo: the Birth in 2022, a large-scale solo exhibition of more than 60 original works held at Left of Center Art Gallery in North Las Vegas, NV. While the artist has not been exhibiting, does not mean that he has not been practicing. McCurdy engages in years of exploration, experimentation, cultivation, creation and development only peeling back the veil when the time is right. GLIMPSES marks a beginning, a first step back out into the world.

Experiencers will first enter a space of moments, peeks into a desert sand colored universe, that upon deeper looking invoke messages such as Don’t, Incoming, and I Don’t Feel Very Well. This section culminates in the large and foreboding Here Comes the Future. From this moment one feels as though they have jumped through a portal to a universe of vibrant color and undulating forms.

Equal parts rebellious and graceful.
